Every three years, CONEXPO‑CON/AGG brings the construction, aggregates, and heavy equipment industries together in Las Vegas for the largest machinery showcase in North America. The 2026 show delivered another landmark year, featuring major product launches, next‑generation equipment platforms, and new technologies aimed at boosting productivity in crushing, material processing, earthmoving, and hauling operations.
Across the show floor, several Terex brands represented by Powerscreen of Washington, as well as Kobelco Construction Machinery, Hyundai Construction Equipment, and Bell Trucks America, introduced machines making their first appearance at CONEXPO. Attendees visiting these exhibits were able to explore newly released crushers, grinders, excavators, and articulated dump trucks while learning how the latest platforms are being engineered to meet today’s production demands and evolving jobsite requirements.
Crushing Power and High-Capacity Material Processing
At the Terex booth, several major product launches demonstrated how manufacturers are responding to increased demand for higher production capacity and jobsite flexibility. The MAGNA MT130J made its first public appearance at CONEXPO 2026 and represents Terex’s continued expansion into large-scale, high-capacity mobile crushing systems. This heavy-duty jaw crusher features a 51” x 39” feed opening, operating weight of nearly 150,000 lbs, and an impressive throughput capacity of up to 1120 US tph.
The MT130J is designed for large quarry operations and high-volume aggregate production, where mobility is needed but traditional stationary plants may limit flexibility. Its diesel-electric design reduces fuel consumption while allowing the machine to operate at full capacity.
At the Terex booth, Powerscreen of Washington staff helped visitors understand where the MT130J fits within large-scale crushing operations and how the MAGNA platform expands production capabilities beyond traditional mid-size mobile crushers.
Another machine that drew significant attention was the CBI 5900T, a high-production grinder built for the forestry, land-clearing, and biomass industries. The 5900T features a large 63” infeed rotor, 755hp engine, and production capacity of up to 150 US tph.
The 5900T is engineered for large-scale wood waste processing, including whole trees, storm debris, and demolition waste. High-horsepower grinding platforms like this are becoming increasingly important as markets for biomass fuel, mulch, and recycled wood fiber continue to grow, particularly in the Pacific Northwest region in which Powerscreen of Washington’s territory covers.
Another major debut at the show was the Cedarapids CRH5064, the newest wheeled horizontal shaft impactor plant from Cedarapids. Portable impact plants like the CRH5064 are increasingly valuable for recycling and portable aggregate production, where operators need the flexibility to move equipment between job sites while maintaining strong throughput performance.
Visitors to the booth could see how the CRH5064 expands Cedarapids’ portable crushing lineup, with the Powerscreen of Washington sales team available to discuss how the plant integrates with screening and conveying systems commonly used in the PNW.
Large-Scale Excavation Solutions
At the Kobelco stand, one of the largest machines on display was the Kobelco SK850LC high-capacity excavator built for heavy production environments. The SK850LC is designed for mass excavation, quarry loading, and large infrastructure projects. High-horsepower excavators in this size class allow contractors to move significantly more material per cycle, improving productivity on large jobs where loading efficiency directly affects overall production. This unit has a 510hp engine, 47’10” digging reach, and around 97,000 lbs in bucket digging force.
Throughout the show, Powerscreen of Washington team members supported the Kobelco booth by helping customers explore excavator applications and matching machine capabilities to real-world jobsite demands.
At the Hyundai booth, visitors were introduced to five new crawler excavators from the Hyundai Next Generation HX Series. These machines represent Hyundai’s next step in integrating advanced machine controls, improved fuel efficiency, and operator-focused technology into its excavator lineup. Key advancements across the HX series include improved fuel efficiency through updated hydraulic systems, enhanced operator interface with larger digital displays, and remote fleet management through telematics.
Excavator technology continues to evolve rapidly as operators look for ways to reduce operating costs while improving precision and machine uptime. At the Hyundai booth, Powerscreen of Washington representatives worked alongside the manufacturer to explain these new technologies and how they benefit contractors operating in demanding environments.
Articulated Hauling Solutions
Material hauling was another focus for Powerscreen of Washington at CONEXPO, highlighted by two articulated dump trucks from Bell Trucks America. The Bell B30E is designed for mid-size earthmoving and quarry operations, offering a balance of payload capacity and maneuverability, making it well suited for job sites with tighter haul roads or varied terrain.
For higher production applications, the Bell B45E provides significantly greater hauling capacity. Large articulated trucks like the B45E are particularly relevant for quarrying, mining support, and large earthmoving projects, where maximizing payload per cycle directly improves hauling efficiency. Powerscreen of Washingtonsupported the Bell Trucks booth during the event, helping customers evaluate how different truck sizes match the production needs of their projects.
Connecting Customers with Equipment Solutions
Across the show lots, Powerscreen of Washington staff worked within each of these manufacturer exhibits to help visitors explore equipment options, understand machine capabilities, and connect with the factory experts from the brands that the dealership represents.
From high-capacity crushing systems and portable aggregate plants to large excavators and articulated haul trucks, the machines displayed at CONEXPO 2026 highlighted how equipment manufacturers are responding to the industry’s current priorities of higher production capacity, greater fuel efficiency, and improved machine technology.
For contractors and producers who couldn’t attend the show, these innovations represent where equipment development is heading and the types of machines increasingly shaping modern aggregate production, earthmoving, and material handling operations. goals. We’re looking forward to making new connections and helping them get the best solutions for their needs.”
